La Jolla’s Michelin Plate Distinction Restaurant

NINE-TEN Restaurant & Bar offers evolving California cuisine that emphasizes a farm-to-table philosophy. Led by award-winning Chef Jason Knibb and Pastry Chef Jose Alonzo III, the menu showcases seasonal foods dictated by the local harvest and unique cooking styles. NINE-TEN received a "Plate Distinction" in California Michelin Guide.
Enjoy dining in the casually elegant, contemporary restaurant or al fresco on the sidewalk patio and terrace with ocean views. The narrow, high-ceiling dining room creates a warm ambiance enhanced with emerald-green colors and light woods. The restaurant's focal point is the vibrant and locally inspired ocean and fauna wall panorama created by acclaimed artist, Dana Montlack.
The restaurant also offers a wonderful wine cellar and special prix fixe menus with parings from the extensive list. The service is enthusiastic and spirited, and the staff is well trained on the food and wine.

The Food

The menu is crafted every day using fresh products from local artisan providers, including Chino Farms. Enjoy fresh fish and seafood arriving daily from Hawaii and the North Pacific and Atlantic regions.
